Fill your bucket list item “Ride Horses on the Beach!” with Desert Trails. Our beautiful, 5 mile long white sandy beach is the perfect place for horseback riding. You will have unobstructed views from horseback of the Ensenada bay, the local hills and the nearby mountains. Baja is beautiful year round and there is really no better place for riding horses on the beach. This is not a boring ‘nose-to-tail’ ride. You will have your own horse and be able to ride freely on the beach.

If you are coming into Ensenada on a cruise ship we can pick you up as you get off the ship, and drive your group to our ranch and return you to Ensenada after the ride. If you want to make a day of it, be sure to add on drinks & snacks, picnic lunch, or a full blown BBQ when you book your ride. 



We are ideally located 15 minutes from La Bufadora, the world famous blow hole, and 5 minutes from Pai Pai EcoTourism Park, a very fun area with zip lines, restaurants, and exotic animals. We offer package deals for horseback riding, and tours of either place.

Beach rides are suitable for all ages and all experience levels, including first time riders. A suitable horse will be selected by our experienced guides for each person depending on their riding experience and comfort level around horses. Children under 5 who can ride in the saddle with an adult will ride for free!

We have 4 daily rides: 10am, 12:30pm, 3pm, and 5:30pm for a sunset ride! We offer pickup in Ensenada for $30/group. You will be able to book your ride, and any extras you want, including a pickup, when you click the BOOK button below.

Private rides are available if you want only your friends and family along.

Ride is about an hour and a half. If you would like to ride longer, be sure to select ‘Extra Riding Time’ for $15 when you book!
