We have recently been talking about Jalapeno a 3 year old gelding at  “Tina Jo’s Promise ” (http://tinajoespromise.org). We are going to be picking him up on Saturday after our segunda, if he will load in the trailer he will be at our stables on Saturday. He came to Tina Joe’s when he was only a few months old with his mom Amor. He is a dark bay with 2 white socks, black mane and tail. He loves playing with a giant soccer ball they have at the ranch, (we just may have to get one). He is green broke and once he is settled in we plan on taking him for a ride up in the hills overlooking Todos Santos island. He has been ridden at least a dozen times by people up to the mountains in Maneadero and  on the beach in Punta Banda.

We are considering more horses from Tina Joe’s promise, and will be going through them for more great trail riding horses. In the mean time we will begin more training and experience with Jalapeno. I’m sure he will do just fine with our other great trail horses.

We will also be starting horseback riding lessons with the people over at Tina Joe’s Promise. We are going to be having some great times, and hope you will soon join us for not only a trail ride or lessons but an adventure to remember here in Ensenada overlooking the bay where  Carnival, Princess, Celebrity Solstice, and the Golden Princess cruise ships come into our harbor to experience the sights, sounds, sensations and tastes that make Ensenada such a wonderful place to live or visit!

Looking at Tina Joe’s Promise rescue Ranch for horses to add to our stables

Jalapeno @ Tina Joe's rescue

Jalapeno @ Tina Joe’s rescue

There are a lot of good horses here in Ensenada Baja Mexico. We have seen so many. Some horses were too young for our riding stable. We have recently talked to a very nice couple again about their horses over at Tina Joe’s rescue ranch over in Punta Banda (.”, http://cheftinajo.com/tinajospromise/chad-c-meek/ , you can also find them at: http://www.bajareport.com/2012_10_01_archive.html. They have several good riding horses, either in training or already trained. Some of them they informed us won’t be going anywhere and will be with them for the remainder of their lives.

Jalapeno is a 3 yr. old dark bay gelding with a black mane and tail. He is saddle broke, and gentle. We are hoping to get more information about him. Tina Joe’s promise is not far from Manedero also has some other potential horses we are considering for our trail riding here in Ensenada.

We are currently in contact with them, working on possibly getting a couple horses from their place.  The more we talk with Tina Joe and Dawn the more wonderful we find them to be. What great people they are, we really hope this will become a long lasting relationship.
